Stroke Caregivers...this handbook was created by our organization just for you, written by our group of experienced stroke caregivers for the new stroke caregiver.  We hope you can use it to guide you through the maze of obstacles that you now face.

The Stroke Network Caregiver Handbook    pdt file

The file is in the PDF format and uses the Acrobat Reader to read the file. If your computer does not already have this software you may download it for free from Adobe.

Our document begins with a brief background about stroke.  It then moves on to provide you with tips on how to handle the routine questions that you must answer, what paperwork you might want to submit and how to be their best advocate for your loved one while they are in the hospital. And finally, what happens as your loved one goes through their rehabilitation stage and hopefully on to recovery.

Your questions can be answered in the Stroke Caregivers forum on our message board.  Please start by registering with us.  You will then be granted permission to use the board at your leisure.  You will be able to post questions and obtain answers from  the message board 24/7!

We want to acknowledge everyone from The Stroke Network who contributed to making this project happen!  We had at least 25 members contribute to this document and we sincerely  thank each and everyone of them for their contribution and in making this project successful.
